Daniel G. Murdock

Dan grew up on Long Island, New York, and has lived in Charleston, West Virginia since 2001. He has a degree in History from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He previously served in government as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of West Virginia in the Attorney General’s Employment Programs Division, and as Associate Counsel for the West Virginia Insurance Commissioner, where he worked on drafting legislation and regulations related to the privatization of West Virginia’s workers’ compensation system. His practice is focused on state workers’ compensation and Federal Black Lung litigation, and assisting clients with insurance regulatory matters. He is admitted to practice law in West Virginia state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
